The above-referenced work (hereinafter referred to as "Work") which is exclusively owned by THIRUMALA RAYA & USHA & KAVIRAJ & SHILPI HALEMANE (hereinafter referred to as "Author") has been officially reviewed as of 2026-01-30 and accepted for publication by C.F.P. (hereinafter referred to as "Publisher"). Expiration date (45 days after reviewed date)


Purely Publishing (with Complimentary Press Release and Author Web Page)

Publication Specialist: A Publication Specialist will be assigned to oversee all aspects of the publication process. Author will be given complete access to all workflows through a personalized online author portal.

Full Copy Edit: Publisher will assign a copy editor to extensively review the Work to ensure proper syntax, word usage, sentence structure, and consistency in adherence with the standards of the Chicago Manual of Style.

Page Design: Publisher will assign a Page Designer to ensure consistency of headings and chapters, and to implement elements of typographical style, including font size, font choices, margins, paragraph, and sentence formatting.

Cover Art: Publisher will produce a premium, custom cover design based on Author's input. The final selection of cover art shall be at the sole discretion of Author.

Conversion to Various Digital Formats: Publisher will convert the Work to the appropriate digital formats so that it may be offered for sale with the Apple, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Google Play eBook retail platforms.

Printed Editions of the Work: Complimentary editions of the Work, professionally printed with a full-color front and back cover, will be produced and delivered to Author's designated address as stated above.

Author Discount Program: Author may purchase an unlimited number of additional wholesale copies of the print editions of the Work for private sale by Author, directly from Publisher at a discount of 40% off the retail price, plus shipping and applicable taxes.

ISBN: Publisher will obtain, on behalf of Author, ISBNs for all editions of the Work. The ISBNs will list Author as the original owner and author of the Work, and Publisher as the authorized Publisher.

Digital Distribution: Publisher will submit Author's Work for distribution to prevalent digital distribution outlets including Amazon, Apple iTunes, Barnes & Noble, and Google Play.

Print Distribution: Publisher will list the print edition(s) of Author's Work for wholesale distribution via Publisher's Ingram Content Network account so that it may be offered for sale in worldwide retail outlets and via Amazon's print distribution platform.

Returned Works: All costs and expenses for returned Works shall be borne solely by Publisher. Pricing of the Work shall be determined by Publisher with material input from Author.

Author Web Page: Publisher will create a custom web page for Author on Publishers website. This page shall contain Author's cover art, a synopsis of Author's book, and direct links to the purchase page of digital platforms offering Author's book for sale so that viewers may easily purchase the Work.

Publicity and Press Release Distribution: Publisher's publicity team will create a custom press release that will be sent by a premier third-party newswire firm to a targeted priority list of media including local, regional, and national print, broadcast, and online sources. This press release will contain a link to the Author's web page which is described above. Author hereby gives Publisher the authority to distribute, at Publisher's sole expense, as many free digital and print versions of the Work as Publisher deems necessary in order for Publisher to promote the Work.

Author Royalties: Publisher shall pay to Author all funds Publisher receives from the respective vendors for sales of the printed and digital copies of the Work, less a 50 cent commission/administrative fee per copy sold. Quarterly accounting reports listing all sales from each distribution outlet and all net profit generated, as per each respective outlet's most recent terms and conditions, will be provided to Author by Publisher.

Recoupment of Author's Investment: Publisher shall not be entitled to any commission/administrative fee as defined above until such time that Author has received a sum total of print and eBook book sales revenue equal to the amount invested by Author under this Agreement.

 

Launch Package

For authors seeking a focused, high-impact marketing boost, the Launch Package provides a suite of promotional services designed to maximize book visibility and sales across major digital platforms. The Launch Package includes:

60-Second Narrated Video Trailer: Publisher will produce a dynamic, 60-second video trailer featuring engaging video content and imagery relevant to the book’s themes and story. The trailer will incorporate narration and key information about the book, culminating with a visual highlight of the book’s cover and a showcase of major retailers where the book is available for purchase. This video will be formatted for and distributed on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and Instagram Feed. Upon completion, the video file will be provided to Author for unrestricted use.

Podcast Interview on the ReaderHouse Author Roundtable: This interview, conducted by the ReaderHouse Author Roundtable host, will concentrate on Author’s book and background. The podcast interview will be no less than three minutes in length and will be pre‐recorded and professionally edited. It will be streamed to potential readers/customers through the ReaderHouse weekly Author Roundtable show, which is available through podcast services like Amazon, Apple, Stitcher, Spotify, Google, and equivalent podcast streaming services.

Amazon Optimization: Publisher will provide a comprehensive Amazon Optimization service to enhance the book’s discoverability and sales potential on Amazon. This service includes:

• Drafting a compelling, sales-optimized Book Blurb tailored for Amazon’s platform.
• Optimizing the “About the Author” section to highlight Author’s credentials and connect with readers.
• Recommending the most effective genres and categories to maximize the book’s visibility.
• Suggesting a targeted list of optimized keywords to improve the likelihood of the book being found by interested readers.

2X Complimentary Copies: Publisher will provide Author with twice the standard number of complimentary copies of the Work as specified in the agreement, enabling broader in-person promotional opportunities.

 

Launch + Package

For authors ready to elevate their book’s reach with a truly comprehensive, multi-channel marketing experience, the Launch + Package delivers an expanded array of premium services. Building on all the benefits of the Launch Package, the Launch + Package empowers authors with advanced tools and strategies to amplify their presence, engage readers, and drive sales across every major platform and in-person opportunity. The Launch + Package includes all Launch Package services, plus:

Promotional Video Interview: Publisher will conduct a video interview with Author via a video conferencing service such as Zoom or equivalent. The interview will be professionally edited to a finished length of three to five minutes and will feature Author discussing the book, their background, and related topics. The completed video interview will be provided to Author and featured on the Author’s website and other promotional channels, as appropriate.

Custom Author Website with URL: Publisher will create a custom website for Author, including a unique URL (within reasonable availability; premium domains are not included). The website will feature:

• About the Author section
• Book Blurb
• Links to major retailers offering the book
• The narrated video trailer
• The video interview
• The podcast interview
• An author contact form for reader engagement

Publisher will provide setup and hosting for one (1) year from launch. Author may renew hosting annually at the then-current rate. If not renewed, the website and URL may be discontinued after the hosting period.

3 Month Targeted Social Media Campaign: Publisher will execute a three-month targeted social media campaign across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The campaign will include:

• Professionally designed posts and content to promote the book and Author (8-12 posts per month)
• A $100 advertising budget to boost posts and increase reach/engagement
• Training videos with helpful tips, enabling Author to continue using the social media accounts for book promotion after the initial campaign period

Custom Bookmarks (100): Publisher will design and produce 100 custom bookmarks featuring the book’s cover design. Each bookmark will include a QR code and the website URL, directing readers to the Author’s website. These bookmarks are intended for use in promotional events, signings, and giveaways to drive traffic and sales.

All deliverables under the Launch and Launch + Packages will be developed in close collaboration with the Author. Where appropriate, the Author will have the opportunity to review materials and provide input or guidance prior to publication or distribution. Publisher will offer professional recommendations throughout the process to help ensure the quality and effectiveness of all marketing materials.

 

Add-on Service: Author Interview on the Nationally Televised "Inkwell Academy Author Book Club": For the ultimate in author and book promotion and publicity, participate in a three-minute professional interview on the nationally broadcast half-hour Author Book Club series sponsored by Inkwell Academy. Be one of just a handful of authors interviewed for the national show, and tell your story in your voice- what your book is about, how you conceived it, why people should purchase and read it, etc. A direct QR code link will be presented on-screen during a portion of your interview to drive potential purchasers directly to a retail sales page for your book. Notice of the scheduled interview will be given at least a week in advance to allow authors to prepare wardrobe, hair, etc. for the interview. All interviews will be conducted in English via Zoom or equivalent remote video conferencing application.

Terms and Conditions

Payments: Payments will be processed through and may appear on your statement as Publishing Services Consortium.

Author to Retain All Rights: Both the original Work of Author and all materials prepared by Publisher (including but not limited to page designs, cover art, electronic files, publicity materials, and the like) shall be the sole property of Author and shall be transferred free of charge to Author by Publisher at any time upon Author's request. Any derivative works of Author's original Work (screenplays, motion picture/TV scripts, etc.) shall be the sole and exclusive property of Author.

IRS Form W9: As a condition of Publisher remitting royalties to Author, Author agrees to complete and remit to Publisher an IRS Form W9 (supplied to Author by Publisher) in compliance with Internal Revenue Service regulations. Author and Publisher acknowledge that vendors may change their royalty structure at their discretion. Publisher may remit royalties to Author via check or ACH payment at Publisher's discretion.

Author represents that he/she is the original and true author and owner of the Work and has not previously assigned these rights to any other parties. Author hereby agrees to defend, hold-harmless, and indemnify Publisher against any claims of infringement or libel which may be brought against Publisher regarding Author's Work. Publisher may, at its discretion, suspend the book from vendor sales platforms if an action for libel or copyright infringement is threatened or initiated.

Staying in Touch and Project Inactivity

Your book project depends on teamwork. To keep things moving, we need timely materials, approvals, and responses from you along the way.

If we do not hear from you or receive needed items for 180 consecutive days, we may place your project on Dormant Status and notify you in writing. If we still do not hear from you within 30 days after that notice, your project will be considered inactive and closed due to lack of participation.

If a project is closed for inactivity:
• We will stop work on the project
• Payments already made will not be refunded, as they cover services provided, project management, and reserved production resources
• We cannot be responsible for delays or incomplete work caused by missing materials or lack of communication

If you decide to return to your project later, we'll be happy to talk with you about restarting. Restarting may require updated pricing and a project reactivation fee.



Those Authors purchasing the Author Interview on the Inkwell Academy Author Book Club hereby acknowledge that the show sponsor and the network have final editorial control over the show content. Accordingly, on rare occasions, certain author interviews may be excluded. In these instances, any Author who purchased this service shall receive a full refund of any money paid towards this stand-alone service unless such exclusion as based upon Author's lack of cooperation therewith. Author acknowledges that interviews can only be scheduled and aired after the book is approved by Author, published and commercially available in retail outlets.

In the event that quarterly payments owed to Author are less than $100, payment shall be made with the next quarterly report provided that the accrued amount owed exceeds $100. Quarterly accounting reports listing all sales from each distribution outlet and all net profit generated, as per each respective outlet's most recent terms and conditions, will be provided to Author by Publisher. If quarterly payments owed to Author are less than $100, payment shall be made with the next quarterly report provided that the accrued amount owed exceeds $100. Royalties shall not be payable on books purchased directly by Author from third-party printers or under the Author Discount Program.

All files related to the production and publishing process (print, eBook, audiobook where applicable, royalty reports and the like) will be transmitted between Publisher and Author electronically.

This Agreement, as it relates to print and eBook editions, shall remain in effect for two years and will continuously renew for additional two-year terms unless canceled by Author or Publisher providing written notice of cancellation sixty days prior to the expiration of the Agreement term. During the term of this Agreement Publisher shall have the exclusive worldwide right to publish and offer for sale the Author's Work in print and eBook format. Author will be responsible for the minimal administrative renewal fee in place at that time (currently $64/year) for each additional term if Author chooses to renew. Upon expiration of this Agreement, Publisher immediately relinquishes any and all rights to publish the Work in print and/or eBook format, and to any administrative fees as defined above.



Author acknowledges that Publisher will utilize and collaborate with professional third-party affiliates (journalists, book reviewers, and social media firms) to engage in some of the marketing efforts described above. Author also represents that he/she may receive one-time security verification codes via text message to his/her cell phone to enable Publisher/social media firm to establish various social media accounts. Author will relay these codes to Publisher/social media firm in a timely manner upon request. Author acknowledges that all marketing services will occur after publication of all editions of the book, such that all editions can be promoted together.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim between Publisher and Author regarding this Agreement will be submitted to mandatory and binding arbitration under the terms of the rules of the American Arbitration Association as then in effect. All claims must be brought in the party's individual capacity and not as a class member in any purported class or representative proceeding. Arbitration proceedings shall be heard in Crawford County, PA by a single arbitrator serving at the mutual designation of the parties and each party shall be solely responsible for their own attorney's fees in connection with said arbitration. Any issue concerning the applicability, interpretation, or enforceability of these procedures, including any contention that all or parts of these procedures are invalid or unenforceable, will be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act. In no event will Publisher be liable for lost profits, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or indirect damages. Author shall have three (3) calendar days from execution of this Agreement to cancel for any reason by providing written notice to Publisher of Author's desire to cancel.
